All classes and workshops are held at Avalon Center unless otherwise specified.

Plenty of parking on Chemin Herron and in the back of the building off Kirkland Place.
Directions to Avalon by car:
From downtown: Take hwy 20 (Remembrance Hwy). Exit at Fenelon.
Take Fenelon south over the highway to Carson. Turn right. Turn right at Blvd. Pine Beach and drive north to Chemin Herron. Turn right and we are the first building on Herron after the corner.
From West Island: take hwy 20 (Remembrance Hwy) east, exit at Blvd Pine Beach. Stay on Chemin Herron (service road of the 20) and we are on the corner of Pine Beach and Herron.
Directions to Avalon by bus:
The 211 and 221 buses stop directly in front of the Georgiana Cretu Business Center at Pine Beach heading East. For buses heading West from downtown, get off at the Pine Beach stop and walk under the highway to the Georgiana Cretu Business Center.

Drumming Circle
The next Drumming Circle session will begin in September 2008 and continue through till June 2009. Circles will be held at Cedar Park Heights Chalet, 20 Robinsdale Ave. in Pointe-Claire every 2nd Sunday of the month from 6pm to 8:30 pm. If you don't have to own a drum; we always have some extra ones. See here for details. Our suggestion (to help with rental only) is a $5.00 contribution but this is voluntary. Everyone is welcome. Elements of Wicca
Do you have an interest in exploring Wicca? Would you like to go beyond reading and start practicing?
This nine week course introduces the basic concepts of Wicca, lets you experience what a practicing Wiccan does, and helps you to decide if you would like to continue on the Wiccan path.
Ideal for beginners or those who wish to deepen their basic understanding and solitary practice.
All classes are taught by initiated Wiccans.

Insight Meditation Group
Each human being has the potential to experience a permanent state of clarity, openness and connection with the love of the Divine. In this state our consciousness is transformed and we are no longer affected by suffering. Meditation is one way to achieve this transformation and the process of practicing meditation immediately helps the practitioner to cope with day-to-day stress and gain greater insight to his or her inner truths. Learn how to meditate in this beginner level workshop. No prior experience is necessary.
The class meets from 7-8:30 starting January 11th for 6 weeks, and costs $60

Ninjutsu Practice Group
For those interested in learning the basics of Ninjutsu, an ancient Japanese Martial Art. Clothing and other supplies must be provided by the practitioner. No prior experience is necessary but a certain level of physical fitness is required.
Classes are held on Tuesday nights and Thursday nights in the Dojo next to Avalon. Please inquire about open spots.
Reiki Practice Group
It is important for practitioners of Reiki to give and receive Reiki on a regular basis. For practitioners of any level you are invited to participate in a Reiki practice group every third Wednesday from 7 to 9pm. This group is free.

Young Pagan's Circle (free)
A place for younger members ages 10 to 18 to explore Pagan and alternative spirituality. All participants must have parental permission. Young Pagan's meet every second Sunday of the Month (11th year this year!) and parents or older siblings may participate if they wish.
Magic Star Circle
The main reason Arachne wanted to start this group was that Arachne needed to teach her own two young children about Wicca in a more formal structure. They have taken part in Wiccan celebrations in the past but they did not quite understand the meaning of them. So, she thought: "Why don’t I teach them together with other children?" She developed a program that would introduce the young children to Wicca through a variety of activities, just like in any daycare or play group, with circles (of course!), songs, story time, arts and crafts and science activities as well. Children should learn in a safe, loving and stimulating environment and Arachne saw teaching Wicca as an enjoyable way to introduce them to the concepts. Meetings take place on the last Sunday of every month from 11am at Avalon.

Tarot Study Group
This study group will be a working group with many interesting exercises for integrating the Tarot into Wiccan Practice. Good for beginners and advanced practitioners. You can go deeper into the Tarot with this group and have plenty of time for discussion with peers.

Course in Seership
Seership has long been connected with the Celtic people, specifically as it
relates to the second sight. This is the ability to see in both the world of
humans and spirits. As we meditate, do ritual, pray, ground, and connect to the
Divine within the Sacred Earth, psychic abilities awaken within us. What are
your special gifts? In this course which meets for 4 Monday evenings in August
we will be testing ourselves to find out our special ways of contacting the
unseen. Then, using these abilities we will learn how to connect with Spirit
Guides, speak to the Beloved Dead beyond the veil, see and work with Nature
Spirits, deepen Divination practice and many other aspects of Seership.

Magickal Herbology Workshop
This class will be held in my garden. I have obtained many rare and magickal plants such as Dittany of Crete, Belladonna, Foxglove etc. as well as many other helpful plants such as St. John's Wort, Mugwort, Blood root, Bane Berry, Milk Thistle, different mints and thymes etc. Come and learn how to integrate the magick of herbs into your life for healing and spellcasting. I will be showing how to make Flower Essences and giving a Flower Essence reading to each participant. This workshop will take place August 14th from 1-5pm.

Love Spells
Love Spells are wonderful complicated weavings that touch us on many levels. We must learn to love ourselves, open ourselves to the Harmony of the Universe, and open ourselves to the possibility of love and abundance. Even for people already in a happy relationship this workshop will show you how to deepen your love with magickal workings using energy, songs, herbs, stones and other methods. All are welcome.

Sacred Dance: Meditation in Motion
The primary focus of Sacred Dance is on healing our relationship between spirit and ourselves. Through Dance we disappear, become more like our spirit, and less attached to our difficulties. We can call this Dance 'Meditation in Motion'.
Setanya and Morgaine will be leading Sacred Dance on the 3rd Saturday of every month from 10am to 12.
