Autumn Has Come

By: Angela Gallant (2004)

Swing the scythe and reap the grain
While the sun turns to rain
Hear the howls of the wind
Autumn brings the harvest in

Green turns red and yellow gold
Harvest time like days of old
Steady beating of the drum
Heralds "Autumn has come!"

Fading sun and waning year
Guarded by the blooded spear
Lightly drifts the world to sleep
Seeds and bears slumber deep

Bring your kith and bring your kin
Bring the stores of wood within
Time of Harvest, so we're told,
Leading in the Time of Cold.
